This course will provide a comprehensive review of commercial residential claims including an understanding of various coverage provisions found in the condo master policy and the differences between condominiums, Co-Ops and Home Owners’ Associations. Everyday coverage issues will be addressed along with discussions on how they might be resolved. ​

Can the Roof be Repaired? Issues in Reparability Roofs, Including Law and Ordinance Coverage
​Learn what to look for in the field when dealing with roof damage. There will be much debate over whether the damage to a roof was caused by a recent wind event, or whether the damage present is simply wear and tear and therefore excluded from coverage in a typical policy. Discussion will include all facets of the claim from start to finish including analysis of law and ordinance coverage and repairing the damage to code. An engineer will join the panel to discuss repairability issues and what to look for when determining whether a roof can be repaired or replaced.
